Located at 1050 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd SW, Atlanta is the beautiful 19th century farmhouse that once was the home of Joel Chandler Harris, the author of Br’er Rabbit and Br’er Fox, which they call “Wren’s Nest”. Do take note that the Wren’s Nest is open on Tuesdays right through till Saturdays, from 10am to 2.30pm, with storytelling sessions every Saturday at 1pm, so if you want to experience the storytelling session, be sure to arrive at the grounds of the home before 1pm. You can always make arrangements with the Atlanta rental bus company to have them send you to the Wren’s Nest early so that you can enjoy a tour around the home first before you join in the storytelling session.
