Festive Atlanta in the spring

Atlanta, Georgia is the heart of the American South, and the city’s vibe is expressed in a series of festivals and carnivals held throughout the year. A great way of having a festive springtime in Atlanta is by renting a charter bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coaches or school bus from Bus Rental Atlanta. Atlanta is renowned for its street parades and festivals that occur citywide, so take a rental bus to tour Atlanta, enjoying the sights and sounds of the Georgian city having a good time.
Since 1858, the City of Atlanta has supported the Hibernian Benevolent Society of Atlanta’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in memory of the heroic efforts of Father Thomas O’Reilly and of the Hibernian Rifles in defending the churches of Atlanta during the end of the American Civil War. Growing over the years, Atlanta’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade now attracts thousands of marchers who begin at noon on Peachtree Plaza. Get your rental bus to drop you off nearby, since roads will be closed to traffic, and join the crowds who line the streets in celebration of Ireland’s patron saint. Atlanta doesn’t treat the parade as a purely Irish celebration, but invites participation from all groups, and promotes the parade as a family event.
Go back to the days of yore, when knights in suits of armor did battle to win the hands of fair maidens. The Georgia Renaissance Festival is a short rental bus ride away in Fairburn. This medieval celebration brings visitors back to the Middle Ages, with jousting, musical concerts and more. Pubs serve up hearty meals fit for a knight, and a 32 acre bazaar allows maidens to shop for elaborate treasures created by artisans who also perform demonstrations of their craft. The ten stages scattered throughout the Renaissance Festival showcases the talents of musicians, jugglers, magicians, story tellers, comedians and acrobats. There is a petting zoo on site, and children and adults alike will thrill to the rides at the Festival. Highlight of the Georgia Renaissance Festival is the Jousting tournament, where contestants in full suits of armor ride against each other with wooden lances, looking to unhorse their opponent.
For a taste of true Southern cooking, get your charter bus to drop you off at the Loews Atlanta hotel, epicenter of the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival. This festival doesn’t occur in only one location, as events occur all around Loews Atlanta. The Atlanta Food & Wine Festival is a culinary weekend dedicated to showcasing the food and beverage traditions of the Southern region. Visitors can participate in Learning Experiences such as cooking and cocktail classes, give different types of Southern cuisine a try in Tasting Tents, where some of the best food and wine in the region is collected to give visitors a sampling, and Dinners and Events, organized by various hotels and restaurants, some featuring out-of-town chefs, mixologists and sommeliers
