The New American Shakespeare Tavern

Looking for a new place to hang out with your pals this weekend? Ever heard of The New American Shakespeare Tavern, that is located at 499, Peachtree St NE, Atlanta GA 30308? Never? Well, then you and your pals should really rent a bus and go over there for a night of theatrical performance. While you enjoy the performance, they also serve food and beverages too.

It will not take you long to arrive at Shakespeare Tavern with your pals in the rented bus – especially if you are travelling with an experienced Atlanta rental bus driver. Whether or not you have read any of Shakespeare’s writings, at The New American Shakespeare Tavern, you will soon fall in love with the mesmerising and fantastic performances of the casts and their costumes are quite impressive too. You will also be pleased to know that they do serve liquor on their premise and drinks like Jack Daniels Whiskey, Absolut Vodka, Bacardi Rum are available – but you will have to be at least 21 years old and are required to produce your ID when ordering. They also serve fruit juices and soda mixers, but they only have limited choices. And if you’d like, they do have a mini bar and souvenirs stand that are open before show time and during intermission. And while you are there, do not forget to try out their popular apple crisp that is said to be rather heavenly!

Currently playing this season at The New American Shakespeare Tavern are “Hamlet and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead” (in repertory) – starting from May 2, “Fortinbras by Lee Blessing” – starting from June 29, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” – starting from July 20, and “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” (abridged) starting from August 9, 2013.

Upon arriving at the entrance of Shakespeare Tavern and alighting from the rented bus, you can pick to sit at one of the small tables on the main floor or just hang out at the balcony. Whichever one you pick, be sure that you make yourself comfortable and that you and your pals will be able to enjoy the performance throughout.

We would suggest that you and your pals make arrangement to arrive at Shakespeare Tavern early in your rented bus, so that you will have ample time to eat and perhaps chat a little bit amongst yourselves before the show begins. Even if you didn’t really know much of Shakespeare’s writings, after a night here, you may just want to come back to enjoy more of the performances!
