Atlanta History Center

If you want to find a place with several historical and interesting sites to visit that is located at one location, the Atlanta History Center is where you should go to visit. There is always something or some event happening at the Atlanta History Center. Whenever you return to this location at different times of the year in an Atlanta rental bus, you will always find something exciting, if not interesting happening or taking place. Better yet, if you want your kids to learn about history outside of class, then trips to the Atlanta History Center will be worthwhile and they will thank you and love you for it.

The Atlanta History Center is a extraordinary location where you will find the Atlanta History Museum, Centennial Olympic Games Museum, the Swan House, the Smith Family Farm, 6 historic gardens as well as the Kenan Research Center are all here – can it get any better than this when you are coming to this place in an Atlanta rented bus? However, you may need to plan a few trips here before you can finish covering all the places of interests here.

The Atlanta History Centers works hard in bringing history to live through their programs such as lectures with award winning authors, school tours, summer camps and music events. These are just some of their efforts in making history a fun subject to learn. Said to be the largest history museums in the country, the Atlanta History Museum exhibits award winning permanent displays on the history of the region’s people and they also have temporary exhibits all year through, so if you visit this place again after some time, you may find “new displays” that you didn’t see the last time you were there. After your tour in the museum with your family, don’t forget to take the opportunity to also visit the Museum Shop and pick a few items to bring home with you as memorabilia of your visit.

And if you enjoy walks within the surroundings of Mother Nature with flowers in abundance, then you must not miss out on checking out any of the six historic gardens at the Atlanta History Center while you are here. It would be good if you have time to visit all six of the gardens (which would be quite impossible unless you rush through every garden), but if you don’t have enough time to do so, you can always come back on another trip on an Atlanta rented bus. After all, there is still so much to see at the Atlanta History Center that you probably didn’t get to see on this trip!
